Chicken & Potatoes, Together Forever

Chicken and potatoes are a timeless pairing. From soups and stews to roast dinners – the two ingredients complement each other and create a hearty, filling meal.

Though quite substantial, potatoes are actually free of fat, cholesterol and sodium. They’re an excellent source of vitamins B6 and C, and contain calcium, potassium and iron, all of which are essential parts of a balanced diet. They are also the best natural source of starch. This is what makes them such an excellent addition to soups and stews. The starch acts as a thickening agent, making the dish thicker and creamier without the addition of cornstarch or cream.

Whether they’re incorporated into the dish or acting as a sidekick, potatoes are the perfect addition to any meal. Here are some of our favourite chicken and potato recipes.
