Chicken part(s)

Step by step

1
Preheat air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Season chicken strips with 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt and 1/4 tsp (1 mL) pepper. In bowl, whisk together eggs, buttermilk and 2 tbsp (30 mL) hot sauce. In separate bowl, stir together flour, and remaining salt and pepper.
2
Dip chicken strips in egg mixture, allowing excess to drip back into mixture; dip chicken strips into flour mixture.
3
In batches, arrange chicken in well-greased air fryer tray; cook for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway, until chicken is cooked through, golden brown and crispy.
4
In large bowl, whisk together oil, brown sugar, chili powder, garlic powder, paprika and remaining hot sauce; add chicken strips, tossing to coat evenly.
5
Serve with dill pickle slices.
6
Alternatively, preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake chicken in single layer, about 1/2-inch (1 cm) apart, on greased baking sheet for 18 minutes, turning chicken halfway, until golden brown and internal temperature of chicken registers 165°F (74°C) on instant-read thermometer.
Recipe noteServe chicken with slices of white bread, mashed potato or grits, or with a salad for a lightened-up alternative.
