In this video we demonstrate how to section a chicken yourself at home. You might wonder what’s the point when you can buy chicken already sectioned at the grocery store, but our way can save you about $10! It’s worth the extra few minutes it takes to do it yourself.
All you need is a chicken, a board that’s suitable for cutting raw meat on and (this is key!) a very sharp knife. Once all your chicken is cut up, store your pieces in plastic bags and freeze until ready use. You’ll have dinner for at least a week!
Use any leftover bits to make some homemade stock, perfect for broths, soups and gravies.
